Beefree, now RGE Studio

Beefree builds the email. We run the whole campaign.

Beefree is a drag-and-drop builder for making an email, and good at it. Better Email is the email creation platform for enterprise marketing teams. Brief, build, segment, localise, check, approve, test, measure. One workflow, with your brand rules wired into it.

Four fields. We build the session around your brand and your ESP.

No sales sequence. One specialist, one call.

Looking for Beefree itself? Still there. On 14 May 2026 the builder was renamed RGE Studio, under the Really Good Emails brand. Accounts and pricing carried over. Beefree SDK, the editor software companies embed, kept its name.

Enterprise teams producing email with Better Email

The honest version

A builder makes the email. The hard part is everything around it.

Teams rarely leave a template builder over the templates. They leave when one campaign turns into nine market versions, four approvers, and a personalisation pass that starts over in the ESP.

Brand control that survives 40 campaigns

A locked palette stops the wrong blue. It won’t stop someone hand-building a hero because the standard blocks couldn’t do the job. Modules written in code will.

Twelve markets that stay in step

Copying a campaign per market works until the master changes. Sibling campaigns share one structure and let the copy differ where it should.

Segmentation that doesn’t restart in the ESP

Hand a finished design to the ESP and someone writes the personalisation logic again by hand. Build the variants in the campaign instead and they export in native syntax. No second pass.

A record of who approved what

Regulated teams need the approval attached to the revision that shipped. A screenshot in a thread and a thumbs-up in chat won’t hold up six months later.

The workflow

One workflow, from brief to inbox

Eight steps, one place, one set of rules. Run each one yourself or hand it to Betty, our agent. The guardrails hold either way.

  1. 01Brief

    The campaign arrives already assembled

Feed it a brief, a page URL, a product list or a PDF. You get back a campaign built from modules your team already approved. Nothing off-brand to catch later.

  2. 02Built

Marketers get the editor your team designed

The editor comes out of your Email Design System. Marketers only see the fields your team chose to expose. Validations catch off-brand input as they type.

    How it works
  3. 03Segmented

    Variants live in the campaign

Version any block with AND, OR and NOT rules. Preview it as a mock profile. On export, the rules come out in your platform’s own syntax: AMPscript, Liquid, Jinja or HubL. We do not send, and we never hold your customer data.

    How it works
  4. 04Localised

Every market gets its own campaign

Each language is a sibling campaign. Its own review, its own approval, its own export, all still tied to the master design. 80+ BCP-47 locales, so de-AT and de-CH can read differently.

    How it works
  5. 05Checked

Four layers of pre-flight run on every change

Static analysis, live link and image checks, an AI copy review, and a visual review of the rendered campaign. Write your own rules in plain English too. There is no limit on how many.

    How it works
  6. 06Approved

Sign-off means sign-off on what ships

Comments pin to the module they are about. Approvals attach to one revision, so editing after sign-off makes the approval stale. One org setting stops anything reaching your ESP unapproved.

    How it works
  7. 07Tested

Rendering checked in 17 real email clients

Outlook, Gmail, Apple Mail and the rest, in light and dark mode, from inside the campaign. No separate testing subscription to buy.

    How it works
  8. 08Measured

Results come back to the campaign

Opens, clicks and top links flow back from Salesforce Marketing Cloud, with a click map on the design that shipped. Other platforms are on the roadmap.

    How it works

Why now

The email specialist is disappearing. The volume is not.

A year ago, one in four companies kept a dedicated email design specialist. Now 13% prioritise hiring for it. Most teams still spend one to three days on a single campaign, and bandwidth is the problem they name most. A design system is how the output survives the headcount.

Which one you should be looking at

We are not the cheap option, and not trying to be. Here is where the line falls.

Stay with Beefree if

  • One or two people make the campaigns and nobody signs them off

  • Standard blocks and a brand kit cover the designs you send
  • The budget is a free plan or a monthly subscription

Talk to us if

  • Campaigns go out across several markets, brands or business units

FAQ

Questions we get asked

What happened to Beefree?+

On 14 May 2026 Beefree renamed its email and landing page builder to RGE Studio, under the Really Good Emails brand. Accounts, pricing and templates carried over. Beefree SDK, the editor software companies embed, kept the Beefree name.

Is Better Email a replacement for Beefree?+

For an enterprise marketing team, yes. For a solo maker or a small team sending a handful of campaigns a month, honestly no. We are built and priced for teams running email as a production line across markets, brands and approval chains.

Do we have to change our sending platform?+

No. We replace the creation layer only. Your lists, journeys, automations and sending stay where they are, whether that is Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Braze, Klaviyo or HubSpot. Finished campaigns export straight into it.

Do you hold our customer data?+

No. We sync the shape of your recipient fields so you can build segmentation rules against them. The values never leave your ESP. We do not send.

Can we bring our existing templates across?+

Yes. Send us a few campaigns you have already shipped, as HTML or as images. We rebuild them into a working Email Design System before your first call. See how a static template becomes a design system.

How many email clients do you test against?+

Seventeen real clients and devices, in light and dark mode. You get them inside the campaign, and in the design system editor while modules are being built.

Do developers still get to write code?+

That is the point. Developers own the modules in HTML and Liquid, decide what settings each one offers, and stay responsible for rendering and accessibility. Marketers get the controls, never the code.
