Comparing Dyspatch

The Dyspatch alternative for enterprise email teams

Both let developers lock your brand into coded blocks that marketers assemble into campaigns. Better Email writes those blocks in HTML and Liquid. Segmentation, localisation and sign-off happen inside the campaign, and your data stays in the EU.

Side by side

Same starting point. They split after the blocks are built.

Coded blocks, guardrails, an AI assistant and an MCP server are on both lists. The differences show up once one campaign becomes nine market versions, four approvers and an agency that has to sign off.

The workflow

One workflow, from brief to inbox

Eight steps, one place, one set of rules. Run each one yourself or hand it to Betty, our agent. The guardrails hold either way.

  1. 01Brief

    The campaign arrives already assembled

Feed it a brief, a page URL, a product list or a PDF. You get back a campaign built from modules your team already approved. Nothing off-brand to catch later.

  2. 02Built

    Modules in HTML and Liquid

Developers write the Email Design System in code any email developer can read, and decide which fields each module exposes. Marketers get those controls and never touch the code. Validations catch off-brand input as they type.

    How it works
  3. 03Segmented

    Marketers build the variants

Version any block with AND, OR and NOT rules, without writing a conditional. Preview it as a mock profile. On export, the rules come out in your platform’s own syntax, AMPscript, Liquid, Jinja or HubL. We do not send, and we never hold your customer data.

    How it works
  4. 04Localised

Every market gets its own campaign

Each language is a sibling campaign. Its own review, its own approval, its own export, all still tied to the master design. 80+ BCP-47 locales, so de-AT and de-CH can read differently.

    How it works
  5. 05Checked

Four layers of pre-flight run on every change

Static analysis, live link and image checks, an AI copy review, and a visual review of the rendered campaign. Write your own rules in plain English too. There is no limit on how many.

    How it works
  6. 06Approved

Sign-off means sign-off on what ships

Comments pin to the module they are about. Approvals attach to one revision, so editing after sign-off makes the approval stale. Agencies, clients and legal review through a private link, with no account and no seat. One org setting stops anything reaching your ESP unapproved.

    How it works
  7. 07Tested

Rendering checked in 17 real email clients

Outlook, Gmail, Apple Mail and the rest, in light and dark mode, from inside the campaign. No separate testing subscription to buy.

    How it works
  8. 08Measured

Results come back to the campaign

Sends, deliveries, opens, clicks and unsubscribes come back from your ESP, with the top links and a click map on the revision that shipped. Works with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Klaviyo, Mailchimp, Bloomreach, Agillic and Braze.

Straight answer

Which one fits your team

Dyspatch covers more channels. Better Email covers more of the email workflow.

Dyspatch fits better if

  • SMS, push and in-app messages should come from the same builder as email
  • Your developers already write DML and the templates are working
  • One market, one language, and one approver per campaign
  • You want a published monthly price to start from

Talk to us if

  • Agencies, clients or a parent company sign off from outside your team
  • Campaigns go out across several markets, each with its own sign-off
  • Legal, brand or compliance must approve the exact version that ships
  • Your data needs to stay in the EU
  • Someone rebuilds segmentation by hand in the ESP every time

FAQ

Questions we get asked

Is Better Email a Dyspatch alternative?+

For an enterprise marketing team, yes. Both let developers build brand-locked blocks that marketers assemble. We write the modules in HTML and Liquid, and keep segmentation, localisation, approvals, client testing and performance data in the same workflow. If you want SMS, push and in-app messages from the same builder, Dyspatch covers more channels than we do.

Which ESPs does it work with?+

Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Braze, Klaviyo, HubSpot, Marketo, Adobe Campaign and Journey Optimizer, Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP Engagement Cloud and more. Segmentation exports in each platform’s own syntax. See all integrations.

Can people outside our company approve campaigns?+

Yes. Invite an agency, a client or your legal team as an external reviewer. They get a private link to one campaign, where they can comment, approve or request changes, with no account and no seat. Make them required and the campaign can’t export until they approve the latest revision.

Do we have to change our sending platform?+

No. We replace the creation layer only. Your lists, journeys, automations and sending stay where they are. Finished campaigns export straight into it.

Where is our data hosted, and do you hold customer data?+

In the EU. We sync the shape of your recipient fields so you can build segmentation rules against them. The values never leave your ESP, and we do not send. The security page has the DPA, sub-processors and controls.

We already have templates in Dyspatch. Can we bring them across?+

Yes. Export a few campaigns you have already shipped as HTML, or send screenshots. We rebuild them into a working Email Design System before your first call. See how a static template becomes a design system.

Can we use our own AI tools?+

Yes. Betty, our agent, builds campaigns from a brief inside Better Email. Your own assistant, whether ChatGPT, Claude or Copilot, can do the same through our MCP server. Either way it builds from your approved modules, so the brand rules still apply.

How many email clients do you test against?+

Seventeen real clients and devices, in light and dark mode. You get them inside the campaign, and in the design system editor while modules are being built.

Bring a campaign you have already sent. We rebuild it as a working design system and walk you through the whole run, brief to ESP.
